Quality control

Our quality policy is based on responsible use of natural resources, focus on customer needs and ensuring consistent product quality.

Flexibility and responsibility ensure the consistent quality of the product supply.

We strive to meet customer expectations, help solve any problems that arise, and advise on product selection and use.

We continuously monitor and improve our quality management systems, making them more effective and efficient.

We organise our activities in accordance with the requirements of national legislation, EU standards and other documents regulating our activities.

Since 2020, the company has implemented the following quality management standards:

• LST EN ISO 9001 :2015 Quality management systems.
• LST EN ISO14001 :2015 Environmental management systems.
• LST ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems

The stability of substrate quality parameters is ensured by an automated dosing system, and all products – both raw peat and manufactured substrates – are subject to mandatory testing in the company’s laboratory.

Our laboratory performs the following tests:

• Determination of a quantity (standard LST EN 12580)
• Determination of pH (standard LST EN 13037)
• Determination of electrical conductivity (standard LST EN 13038)

The bulk density, pH, and electrical conductivity are periodically checked during the production process and the data are recorded on a quality control sheet, with the control sample being stored for a year in a repository.

All products are labelled in accordance with specified requirements.

In 2023, the State Plant Service under the Ministry of Agriculture issued a confirmation, certifying that products made by Durpeta (natural, neutralised peat, the Ekodurpeta substrate, and the substrate for spices) are suitable for organic farming and production in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 889/2009
